SYMBOLS OF THE FIRE ELEMENT

Art by Ivana Axman

Have you had too much going on in your life lately? Perhaps you’ve had too much to do, and the stress, work or worries may have left you feeling burnt out.
Or does your life lack the fire energy? Do you desire to experience something new? Have you been longing for an adventure, passion and excitement?

Either way, the Priestess of the Fire Element can help you to establish some balance in your inner fire element. In order to do so, you can work with appropriate colours such as red, orange and yellow, or the symbols that the Priestess of Fire works with such as the triangle, tetrahedron or the seven-pointed star.

The seven-pointed star represents the seven archangels or the Seven Seraphim, the fiery angels. To receive help and guidance regarding your inner fire, you may call upon them or other deities associated with the fire element such as Hestia, Pele, Brigit, Ra, Perun, Thor, Vesta, and many others including your spirit guides.
Also, you may want to charge your inner fire under the sun, with a candle by your side, or next to a fireplace.

PRIESTESS OF THE FIRE ELEMENT RITUAL

Ideally, perform this ritual when the moon is in a fire sign such as Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. You’ll need a peaceful, quiet place, a candle (preferably yellow, orange or red), a pen and a piece of paper. If possible, make some time for this ritual during the day, ideally when it’s sunny.

When you are ready, draw one or all of the following symbols (the triangle, which is the alchemical symbol for the fire element, and rune Kenaz) on the prepared piece of paper:

Call upon one or more fire deity, and utter either in your mind or aloud:

“I, (your name), hereby balance my inner flames.
May they dance in harmony and follow my highest good, as well as the highest good of those involved.
May I follow my heart’s desires and passions with modesty, and may I always find peace after my endeavours.
Thank you, fire element.
Thank you,
(the name of the deity or deities you want to work with).”

Then, warm up your palms over the flame (try not to burn yourself), and attune to the fire element. Wait to receive a message from the fire element in the form of a thought, a hunch or a vision. Note this down as the message might begin to make sense with time.

Keep the paper with the symbols by your side the whole day, and place it under your pillow at night, because the fire element could give you prophetic dreams and answers related to your inner fire archetype.
